Ask Yanik Silver About Maverick Business Insider
Posted by James in Affiliate, How To, Interview, Lifestyle, List Building, News
I’m interviewing Yanik in the next few days about success online and also Maverick Business Insider. I want to share the recording with subscribers as a special bonus. Here is an entreprenuer who learns from people like Richard Branson and Dan Kennedy.
Yanik has built a very strong presence online via marketing his copywriting products, running sold out seminars each year and building a huge high value info product distribution business.
His passion and knowledge are infectious and his thoughts are clear and focused. He has now combined an organization that helps young entreprenuers and builds wealth for business owners whilst doing fun things. Pretty cool.
What would you like me to ask Yanik Silver?
Post your comments below and I’ll make a list of the top questions prior to the interview. The best question gets a 30 minute skype business overview with me. I’ll go through what you are doing and see what leverage points you have available to you for fast gains using the same techniques Yanik teaches.
I urge you to see Yaniks latest information about using leverage to get ahead here

Hi James
Great to see you are interviewing Yanik. I have bought quite a bit of his stuff!
A question for me is what is the best way to translate the “internet marketing” techniques into the corporate SME world.
We are selling on line training and development and want to package services to give the best value and make a profit.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi James,
Some marketers advise us to hide our identity in order to protect the niches that we are involved in.
Other marketers tell the opposite and advise us to brand ourselves, preferably with a tradename, company logo and style.
So what should we do?
Cheers,
JanPaul

What do you think of multiple income streams? I have been studying Forex (currency trading) intensively. Two of the several reasons for failure in that market is that new traders go into it grossly undercapitalized and therefore cannot resist the temptation to over-leverage themselves; consequently they have no resilience when bad trades occur (as they always do)and they get wiped out.
Certain types of Internet Marketing seem to have low capital starts and the potential of good income yields. Why not invest in several such areas to fund a higher risk area of investment such as Forex trading? Well that is my current thinking? What do you think Yanik?

Hi James
I’d like to know what type of online business Yanik would build today if he had to start from scratch and wanted to succeed as fast as possible.
Furthermore what does he think is the single most important factor to online success.

For those of us who are absolutely new to these concepts, the question would be “What is the advantage to someone in our category to consider an investment in your product(s)?” Additionally, “Would you be able to provide a step-by-step instruction, fully detailed and easy to follow, that could be comprehended by everyone, including people new to this area of marketing?” Thank you.

Hi James,
Nice one. Couple of questions.
1. Other than list building what are the most important tasks anyone must do to have a sustainable income from online?
2. While selecting a niche, would he recommend to for niches where money is being spend or go with one we are passionate about?
3. What are his thoughts on multi-tasks (like product creation, affiliate marketing, content creation, ppc, traffic building, building websites. managing affiliates etc)? Would he recommend to concentrate on one single task or shall we master them all? Say one should concentrate only concentrate on traffic building(assuming the person is good at traffic building compared to other tasks) and out source the rest?
4. It’s known fact that doing all the above mentioned tasks by oneself is very difficult. Does this mean that outsourcing is absolutely necessary to make any substantial income from online?
-Neo
PS: I xpect the report containing the same questions will be soon sold to us. LOL!

This is a tough one. If you solve this you are a genius.
I have a very good friend in Mexico. He’s applied for hundreds of jobs and is still unemployed. He’s smart and has many fine qualities. He’s a nice guy too. His background is management and sales.
He has no money to start out on his own which he would prefer.
How can he get back on his feet?

Steve – Yes that is a big one, cool.
Andy, I like the ‘Start Today’ one, thanks.
Hi Michelle, I will ask him who need this and whether it is right for everyone or just some people.
Neo, nice lines – (For number 2 I bet he tries to get both
.
I’m not planning on selling this – the recording will be FREE to all IMS subscribers.
I am of course recommending people consider Yaniks excellent new program.

Leeda,
For your friend I wouild suggest he finds a need and then uses his sales and management experience to co-ordinate himself around creating a product or service that solves that problem.
He could create a product and then market it. This is a well known process. I have just given you access to a product of mine called Dramatic Cash which teaches this step-by-step.
Good Luck!
James

Nina,
That is a nice question too.
(I have noticed them change some of the tactics but the core mechanics in the video of Yaniks seem worth learning).
Question noted – thank you.
Keep them coming – I have some great ones to use I may never have though of. The recording is for you guys so now is your chance!

Hi James,
Having been in the construction business for over twenty years and knowing it takes many ‘parts’ to make a business successful, I would like to see a 30,000 foot view of the internet business and the keys to having long term survivability in this business.
Normal business functions such as management, human resources, accounts payable, accounts receivables, insurance, banking, equipment procurement, licenses, capital gains, customer service, alliances, suppliers, job costing, etc., are all well documented.
“Business is Business”
My question is, would it be possible to take all of the fragments of IM and place them in a coherent, orderly toolbox? What are the management issues with this business? What are the outsourcing issues with this business? What are the …(fill in with the above list) issues with this business? The real nuts and bolts of operating a multifaceted IM business, what are its nuances, what should one stay focused on, what to do and what not to do, when to do it and when not to. In a dynamic environment (which all business’ are), we really need adjust on the fly or it could be lights out before you see it coming.
Knowing you cannot really learn until you really start doing, I’ve been around long enough to know not to just go forward recklessly. The need to look at the big picture and then start solving the parts involved has always worked pretty well for us. In the IM world, it seems we have a lot of parts, but the big picture is not as clear as it possibly could be (…maybe by design? J)
Realizing that IM has many alleyways and directions one could embark on, it could be compared with the home improvement business. Window replacement, carpet cleaning, carpet replacement, interior painting, exterior painting – with or without wood replacement, countertops, cabinets, lighting, landscaping, etc, etc, etc. What are ones personal skills and/or interests? The big picture though is still “home improvement” and each segment has its inherent advantages and disadvantages, which we all understand.
How can IM be brought under one ‘roof’ (pun intended J)?
Thank you, James, for your way of cutting through the clutter.
Mike

My problem is that I keep learning more and more about internet marketing, but the learning seems endless and the money I make from that learning always seems somewhere out there in the distant, unknown future – open ended.
So, my question is, if Yanik was just starting out, but knew what he knows today, what program would he follow to make $1000 in 30 days from internet marketing if his life depended it?
What would he do day by day, step by step, to make that amount of money with as much certainty as possible? I am interested in his and your answer. The more specific the better. I am so tired of generalities!
In all honesty, ths Maverick Entrepreneur product does not look like the answer to this problem.
Thanks for this opportunity to ask a vital question of an expert.

Hello James,
I constantly improve myself and my mlm skills by learning new techniques and strategies.

Hi Nancy,
Yes the education cycle can go on. I’ll think the starting from now question is excellent.
I also recommend you stop buying stuff unless you can implement it right now and take advantage of it. Go through the other stuff you own and see if you can slavage a simple and effective plan.
It should be based around creating value. Draft out your plan on one page and stick to it.
I’ll see if I can squeeze this question in for Yanik – The $7.95 shipping and handling for his book, DVD , Wall chart and newsletter is quite a low entry point. I am interested on his opinion.

James,
Great concept to get the feedback from your users community and to keep us engaged!
My question is this and its a three part one:

2) What is the best way to overcome that obstacle?
3) How does “Maverick Business Insider” help overcome that obstacle?

05. Nov, 2008
Hi James,
Cary here (sat next to you at Underground) – I am so excited about everything I know and have learned in the past few months. It is embarrassing that I haven’t got a site earning me money yet. I have so many topics, ideas and areas of interest. I am learning ppc and how to build websites (thanks for the xsite pro referral) just itching to get out of the blocks, get past my own fear of success, and get something on the table that can earn cash so I can keep growing in my internet marketing business. Give me a sharp 1, 2, 3 – how to move ahead in the most efficient and effective way possible. Thanks for your ongoing good stuff! You told me to not give up, just keep moving ahead. I am!

My questions to Yanik are:
1. What distinguishes Maverick Business Insider from all of the other products vying for my money right now?
2. Who is Maverick Business Insider designed for? Who will benefit most from it?
3. What is the best way to get the most value from the information contained in Maverick Business Insider?
Thanks for letting us contribute!!

Hi James,
thank you for letting us suggest questions. I have a/some question/s that I encounter since I am setting up my site(s) internet-marketing-wise:
- How can a good but very small niche (not a topic like for example “making money” etc) be promoted/present with “a system” that leads to success?
- How can I save my time and studying in discerning which articles/ebooks/information sites are those which are not only for making money (for its presenter(s)) but lead my (and other newbies) to steady success? (Like for example your Cheat Sheet, which is am exciting example of a positve, affordable and easy-to-follow tool towards _real_ success?
- And, last but not least: How can I, we, build an internet marketing site that provides me/us with more time off (more life quality and not more time of reading and studying etc.).
I wish you and all readers best and continuing success! With greatful thanks and Regards,
André

My question for Yanik is: If you had to begin this business again. What would be the first things you would do to ensure your absolute success?
Colin Green
06. Nov, 2008
Yanik – and most US e-marketers (like Derek Gehl) don’t reply to emails. I assume because of the volumes. But isn’t this damaging to the relationship? Doen’t this relegate their communications to just another “push” medium?
This is NOT a dig at Yanik. I have some of his material and I read his “stuff”. But I don’t feel remotely engaged.
I too have a large(ish) email list and reply to virtually every message that requests a reply. It’s hard to do but I feel it neccessary. Would be wonderful if I could just ignore everyone – I don’t feel that I can and I do value the relationships.

Thank you James, Carey, Kelly, Andre, Gordon and Colin,
Some really good questions there. This is going to be tough to compile and pick a winner. Someone will wina 30 minute business makeover session. Keep these questions coming!
James,
I like your three questions, nice thought process there.
Cary,
so great to see you here! Yes we did sit together at Underground. That was an amazing event in so many ways. My advice is don’t fear success. Yanik mentions in his manifesto video that you can become who you want to be. Nobody will hand it to you . The book he mentioned was by Robert Ringer. (To be or not to be intimitated? ISBN 1-59077-035-8).
Kelly,
Good topic – I would love to hear Yanik’s take on that too. Who needs it is shaping up as a great question.
Andre’,
That is an awesome question – how to tell a good product from a bad product and get past the hype. (I remember my Grandfather told me to look at the person making the offer and see if they represent what you want to be like)…
Gordon,
I like your thinking. I also wonder what core skills Yanik would use to quickly rise to the top again. I have some ideas but we might ask him that!
Colin,
Scalability issues – yes nice one. How can you offer service and grow as well? I like it. Thank you!
I will probably make some follow-up posts after this covering whatever is left over from my chat with Yanik so keep the questions flying.

In response to how to tell a good product from a bad one, I thought you guys might like to know this interesting snippet.
I worked with Kevin Trudeau and his partner on an infomercial. During the break I asked them that very question. “How can you tell a good product from a bad one?” “In your experience what sells and how can you tell a winner?”
They said the biggest criteria was not what they thought was the winner or the person behind it but the general public and what they wanted.
They had often put up a product on infomercials which they were sure was going to be a ‘hot seller’ and they were wrong. It sold but sales were average.
On one occasion they put up a product which they thought had a fair chance – but felt it was not spectacular as such. Yet, this was the product that sold and sold and repeat sold and took in so much money in 18 months that it blew them away. ( I think I should resurrect it).
In other words, the general public are fickle. They decide, we can only put our best foot forward.
While I am on the subject of success here’s another great tip.
I’m married to someone pretty famous. The main ways he made it to the top in his profession was:
1. He totally ignored everyone who told him ‘buddy, this is never gonna work man.’
2. A few years ago, he totally ignored publishers and pros who told him the ‘title’ of his second book would never sell. It did and it went on to become another best seller.
3. He attributed his success primarily because he built up a huge following. He’s now famous worldwide and really famous in certain countries. ( This is not puff. It is what it is.)
4.What were the foundations to his success? It was built on dogged determination to get out there. He worked the booths and shows every weekend. He bugged the hell out of editors until they featured him and virtually paid him to go away. He did the same with radio and TV shows. He kept reading things pertaining to his career and was never to proud to ask the most ordinary or humble of men for advice. ( They were usually the smartest.)
He became a success because he relied on himself to win. Sure, he took advantage of a good support network – that was important – but he worked hard and he refused to give up. That was his key to financial and career success. Hard work and determination.

Hi James,
A few questions that could help consultants or others with day jobs who are working part time on building the web side of their business might be:
1. “What is the best way to outsource the web side of our business so we can keep our clientele practice running during the day, and still have free time?”
2. “Is there a formula for figuring out when it is profitable to begin to use outsourcing?”
3. “How do you get to the point of knowing how to run the details your own web business well enough to be able to direct others effectively?”
Thanks James!
