I learned from that mistake and will do my best not to repeat it but the point I was trying to convey is that simple little things don't require too much thought. There was no real loss in acting without great thought so it was okay to just act and correct later. And also that I noticed myself thinking after doing that, if only i'd thought about it more before I started walking, but that is wrong. If I head in the wrong way out of the changing rooms it won't really matter, so it's okay not to think to much about it. I've been beating myself up for these kinds of things fairly consistently for a long time and failing to distinguish that's okay compared to catastrophic failure that's not easily recovered.
