Internet Marketing Blog Makeover – Step 1

It is time for a blog makeover!

Since visiting Underground in Washington D.C I have had a goal to bring my blog forward into the new era. Content is good however the blog design and the interest level can be further improved.

The first step to improvement….

…is to realize improvement is required. I am getting enough traffic, I am getting comments. The design aspect is plain and the style of my posts tend to be too dry. Since I am prepared to acknowledge these facts I am ready to setup the makeover.

Bring in the experts

I’ll be drawing on a panel of experts to do this makeover. First I will interview a Blogging professional. His name is Michael Dunlop. He is a 20 year old blogger from the UK with a much prettier and more trafficked blog than mine. He will be coaching me through the initial steps.

In the interview I will ask Michael what we should be looking at to improve a blog and how I can set it up for success. I’ll post this and the follwoing interviews as we go for you to download.

Blog Design

I”ve been talking with my designer James Dyson about a new skin. That is the name for the custom design layer – not actual skin.

James will be designing a few skins and YOU the reader can help me choose! I am going to have a vote with a prize. Keep an eye out for that. Once I choose the new style we will load it over the existing structure for a completely new look.

We’ll ask him what the important design elemnts are and how he does what he does. The results should be fascinating to see.

Killer Blog Buzz

My friend the BUZZ marketeing expert Dean Hunt will be teaching me how to liven things up plenty. I’ll be asking him how to make a boring blog interesting. I am guessing he will not tell me to put killer bunnie on my blog, someone has already done that….

As soon as I can corner him after his visit across Europe on a crazy weekend we should be in business.

So begins the journey….. wish me luck…
