XsitePro Complete Guide To Website Building Course Review + Bonus

Posted by James in Affiliate, SEO, Traffic, Video

The makers of xsitepro have put together a new training course stepping you through ALMOST everything you need to know for building a website from scratch. The course is suited to you if you would class yourself as either a total beginner or an intermediate web builder.

Comprehensive System
The course even covers how the internet was formed! The new e-learning system used integrates video with clickable charts. The course has live cutaway video of Richard from Intellimon (the chief Trainer of this course). Presented in perfect English you will be able to understand everything he says in crystal clear format. There are homework modules and this will help with retention.

26 Modules Covering All The Basics
-Introduction
-Foundation
-Research
-Projects
-Web Site Templates
-Custom Websites
-Adding web pages
-Text & Formatting
-Working with Images
-Wizards and tables
-Navigation Page & Interlinking
-Website Content
-Audio & Video
-RSS Feeds
-Extra Features
-Quick Pages
-Adding Site Search
-List Building
-Pay Per Click Advertising
-Affiliate Programs
-Selling Direct
-SEO Part 1
-SEO Part 2
-Publishing Your Site
-Housekeeping
-Final Test

What I Didn’t like
It is a little wordy compared to other training courses out there. It could be done with about ten less videos and less technical information. Some of the charts are a probably not required. It lacks commercial bias. (There may be plenty of people who just want to build a website for fun or entertainment however I imagine you would rather learn how to make websites that sell. It could have gone into a little more strategy). The modules are not designed to be downloaded so you need to stream the lessons each time. Some of the information I do not entirely agree with…however it is a good starting point.

What I did like
The course covers many of the most basic elements one should know if contemplating building websites. The player remembers where you are up to in the training. It is easy to see what you have already watched. The variety of on camera and screen shots are a nice blend to hold attention. The production is high quality and the core information will greatly assist detail oriented users (especially FIRST time computer users).

Looking at the content, I think this course is NOT relevant for those who had completed the Tools manual of XSitepro2 .

Don’t you find it a bit odd that you would promote xsite Pro using a Word Press Blog?

I love my xsite pro 2, but Word Press is beginning to dominate because I can log in anywhere. So maybe Xsite pro needs to some how create an interface that allows you to make updates and changes remotely.

Hi James

Are you saying there is a better training than this one? Where can I find this?

thanks

@Joe, I tend to agree.

@Brenda, I think this is the best beginners course I have seen.

@Rebecca, yes, Wordpress is awesome. I am using the blog medium to blog about xsitepro. (A Lot of xsitepro affiliates use both). XSitePro should make an online version.

It sounds like a good course but I guess it is too late to “teach an old dog new tricks”. I use Dreamweaver and find it non-restrictive (very flexible) in creating diverse website designs. Any software that simple would have its limits … and I dislike ‘limits’. :)
Thanks for the brief tutorial James.

I think Paul should have offered his Complete Guide To Website Building free with the purchase of xsitepro v 2.
Who ever heard of having to pay extra to learn how to use
a product . Sorry but this just does not compute with me. IMHO the price of xsp should be raised and the detailed instructions offered at no additional charge.

Interesting point of view Jeanne,

I guess if you consider knives, spanners, golf clubs, cars, games etc… plenty of things where you can buy the ‘tool’ without the tuition.

Raising the price and including the course sort of levels out at where it is now?

They could certainly test adding the extra course for perhaps $97 more as a bundle.

Thanks for the point of view.

This sounds really good and I’m sure it would be very useful but with your superfast course, which is amazing, I’m already on overload and trying to catch up fast with all the great new info …. I would have to save this for a bit further down the line :-)
