How To Search Engine Optimize A Wordpress Blog
The following video takes you through steps to activate some SEO plugins and set up your wordpress blog for some serious SEO traffic. Discover how to set permalinks, import ping lists, get your RSS feed optimized, add an XML sitemap, add social icons and change themes….
I have also included a direct download link to the full Wordpress file including some FREE wordpress themes and plug-ins. Also included is a ping list for you to import after installation. The video starts at the point after you have installed your wordpress blog using FTP or fantastico.

Thanks for another great video. They are always so clean and easy to follow, no fluff or "noise" to distract me from learning. This one had so much in one, I could hardly believe you give it away–so many make you buy stuff or go through many pages to get to something good like that. It was easy for me to follow, I paused and went into my blog as you explained things.
I have lots of questions! (-:
I have WordPress 2.3.2 already installed on my 3 month old blog. I use Fantastico but notice the host does not have the new version to make updating simpler (I wouldn't know how to install without Fantastico). Will this new version make a big difference or can it wait until it shows up as an upgrade on my Fantastico in C-Panel?
Also, what use (if any) is there to showing my tag cloud under the side bar? It's looking clunky so I'm thinking of getting it off there. Any comment?
By the way, I changed from using the Word Press Tags to All in One SEO pack which has a place for keywords. I really like that, have you seen it? I also stopped putting more than one keyword in (which is why my Tag Cloud is so full, I somehow thought more keywords than 2 or 3 was necessary but learned not so). After I switched to All in One SEO, I noticed some of my keywords started ranking higher than the established sites almost within minutes!
One more thing, I have Akismet–very good to have. But I have never had a legitimate comment. I just got 2 comments today awaiting moderation. However, when I click on them they appear to be just trackbacks from other posts on my own site–don't know if someone did that or if a glitch. Would it be very obvious and easy to see if these were real comments? I've hesitated deleting in case they are.

PS Will you do a video on how to "claim your blog" on sites like Technorati? It's a bit stressful to figure out what they want in order to do that, and I worry that I should have done by now and maybe also at any other social sites.
Also, do you have videos planned for making use of the social bookmarking phenomena? For instance, I have FaceBook but no idea how to network my sites with it. Do you do that on MySpace or FaceBook?

Sometimes it is nice to give some good stuff away without strings attached! More coming too.
I recommend you install the latest version of Wordpress everytime it gets upgraded. It is usually upgraded for security reasons. If you do not know how to do I may video that part for you.
The tag cloud will give you anchor text links back to your keywords inside the blog. Good for SEO , not so good if you don't like it. I don't use them much. It also can give you that 'web 2.0' feel.

Unfortunately there is bad trackback spam these days. Just keep posting great content and you will get comments. Try adding your blog to http://www.blogcatalog.com for more exposure.

I can do that for sure. Once you set it up you will leverage your posts more.

I have them - they are under wraps (www.superfastaffiliate.com) however I may release some for the public soon…
I use a LOT more social media sites than most people know about - there is an art to it. Stay tuned.

You can unzip the wp-themes folder and open the images into an image editor like logocreator, gimp, paintshop or photoshop etc…
Also you can buy designs or have them custom designed.
